The goal of our youth ministry prayer team is simply: consistently bring the needs of our students, families, and ministry before the Lord in prayer. The work of this team is crucial to the health of our youth ministry. The prayer team does not have a specific day to serve. Rather, they receive updated prayer requests each week to consider and pray for. This is a great role for members who like to serve more behind the scenes or who have the gifts of mercy and faith.
Occasional opportunities arise for Bible studies with smaller groups of students. Faithful Bible teaching is the foundation of our ministry and the primary means by which our students grow deeper in their faith. Therefore a successful Bible teacher is a committed follower of Jesus who has a growing relationship with the Lord and a desire to make disciples in the context of youth ministry. This position requires a background check.
This is a catch-all role for our ministry. It may include chaperoning camps and trips, helping in the kitchen, serving as a DNow host home, and more. It doesn’t mean you’re interested in all of those roles (though you may be!) but that at least a few interest you. The obligations and needs of these roles shift throughout the year. Sign up here if you are interested in being contacted to help in any number of ways. A background check is required.

This team is the first point of contact with our youth ministry. When our youth ministry meets this team is there to welcome teenagers, connect new students, and be an overall friendly presence. Church members with the gifts of service or hospitality and a heart for teenagers do well in this role. This team serves on a rotation with opportunities available on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. A background check is required.
